It was an unlikely coterie that began their journey together that day. To a casual observer, the scene was comical, with the birds and worm flitting from tree to tree and Vole scurrying right behind on the ground. Crow was in the lead, but he knew as little of where he was going as did each.Worm was perched in Crow’s open beak in awe. He had never seen the world from higher than an old log he once climbed. The expansiveness of this new world left him speechless in wonder. By now his body had returned to normal; the glow was gone. As Crow headed for the next tree, Worm spotted something in the distance which totally grabbed his attention.“What’s that?!”“What’s what?”, Crow was irritated by the vagueness of the reference.“Look over your left wing tip.” Worm was straining to get a better look.Crow twisted his head and looked out to the left. At first he could not make out what it was even though his vision was very much better than Worm’s.(to be continued)
