Music, Oh My God!
I think I am to become a music Therapist.
To do that the most traditional way, I would need to move to KC (or commute a lot) for 2 years and take many of the following courses at MU:
Graduate & Professional :: Conservatory of Music
Master of Arts in Music - Music Therapy
Conservatory 544 Advanced Clinical Experience 2
Conservatory 545 Seminar in Music Therapy 2
Conservatory 594A Introduction to Descriptive and
Experimental Research in Music 3
Conservatory 599 Thesis 3
Select one course from the following four: 3
Conservatory 573 Administration of Music
Education/Music Therapy
Conservatory 596 Theories of Learning Music
EDRP 505 Statistical Methods I
EDRP 502 Advanced Educational Psychology
Special Interest Areas (suggested options): 16
Gerontology Certificate program
Health Services Administration
Gerontology Administration
Counseling Psychology & Counselor Education
Education
Sociology
Electives (500 level Music Courses) 6
Total hours (minimum) 35

Let Your Music Begin
What I hope to share in writing this blog, are (as yet) unknown blessings already on their way to you. The music that has been hidden in your soul since birth and some speculate , even before your birth here on earth in this "time" in his-story as well as her-story; is ready to be birthed:

I guess I am the migrant worker who has been sent here to help you harvest your abundance. How did I ascend to such a high post? [you ask]. It was easy, yet it took many, many years, ..... then, finally, (as well as somewhat suddenly), I merely surrendered to Love. Now I am a King among myself.
Disguised as migrant, I am trying to help you take that same Leap of Love. And here is a beginning step:

Life in the Slow Lane Introduction
I am a Reverend, whatever that means. Guess it means that I have been ordained. In fact, I have an ordination in two spiritual traditions: Christianity and Sufism. I consider that as naught.
What I am proud of is the group of loving friends I have known along this way. Jerry Jeff Walker once wrote in a song that the Truth would come in the time we spent with friends in the energy of love (my expansion of his poetic words). I have found this to be true. The important lessons in life, the things that seem to have some permanence have been gifts of insight and awareness that came when hanging out with loving friends.
My hopes for this blog is, that by the Grace of God, a loving community of friends may grow around the issues and experiences discussed here. So let us begin. If you find us, make a comment, raise a question, tell a story.... join in the Life of Us.
